I'm not really convinced of anything because it just doesn't make sense that a joint can hurt for six weeks and then the pain moves to another place. Is there any research going towards figuring this out?

I have been off of them for three weeks and have gained about 18 lbs in fluid weight. The doctor had me try a different diuretic this morning, but within an hour my skin was crawling and burning so I know I cannot take those pills again. Has anyone had a similar experience that they can share what has worked for them, aside from restricting sodium intake.
