Ow! Why do I get blisters on my tongue?

I get these small very painful blisters on my tongue sometimes....I do have auto immune disease but, still, I've had this one for three days. I've used the mouth sore deadener stuff in the tube, but, why do these happen? I have scleroderma and rheumatoid arthritis and a platelet disorder. Ouch!
If you have rheumatoid arthritis in both hands and one knee are there any benefits you can claim?
My mam is 51, not working but signs on. Gets working tax credit because husband works but is there anything else she might be entitled to.
