Has anyone ever tried to relieve their symptoms of arthritis with a green tea or water fast?
I'm experiencing a bit of pain in my joints and muscles and I don't want to have to rely on pills to get me through my day. I've heard that fasting if done properly can eliminate toxins from the body and relieve major symptoms of arthritis and even Raynaud's phenomenon. It's worth a shot.
And yes I've already consulted a doctor this week. She took some tests and told me to come back in a month. Then she sent me on my way home with a prescription for a pain killer (that doesn't do much for pain) and some thing to help me sleep at night.

I heard of a child who got a laceration 2 inches long, a cut to the bone, and then got arthritis a few months later in her fingers and hips and jaw and all her joints. Has anyone else heard of this happening?
Anyone know of a doctor who treats this type of arthritis?
If my joint pain isnt arthritis what is it?
I am 25 and started having knee pain about 5 years ago when I went into the army. Over the next five years other joints have started hurting. Like my elbows, shoulders, and hips. My doctor did a blood test and it said negative for arthritis. Could it still be? Or what else could it be? They hurt even when I am not working out.

This has only been happening to me within possibly the last 4-6 months, but I work in a place where, once the majority of people have left for the day, it gets VERY cold in the building and my hands freeze up and get stiff, the more I have to type.
It gets to the point at least 3 or 4 times per hour towards the end of the day, where I have to stretch my hands and close up my fingers, which makes my knuckles and joints in my hands crack. A coworker mentioned it is best to try not doing this, as it will make me develop arthritis sooner in life.
Is this true? And if so, how can I try to not have to crack my knuckles so much? I am a bit worried about if this is true, as I'm only currently in my late 20's.
Does anybody else have this problem? What have you done to try and prevent cracking your knuckles?

I crack my fingers, wrists, knees, ankles, toes, back, and neck a lot as I get really bad pain in all my joints. I constantly have sore knees and a sore back/ neck. I've done some considerable damage to my ankles by cracking, spraining, and I also used to be a dancer. is it possible that I may have developed arthritis or could?

I've been having mild pain in the joints of my wrists and hands for months now, it has slowly been getting worse. I also have dry skin on my elbows and tiny dents and pits in my fingernails (I was told this can be an early sign of arthritis). However, I'm only 25. Is this really possible?

Just wondering...
Arthritis, as we all know, is a condition usually developed at old age where ones joints become weaker and more susceptible to aches, strains, and injury.
Prayer, as we all know, usually requires people to bend their knees or elbows or backs or necks, which does not sound very comfortable to someone with arthritis.
So, is prayer difficult for those with arthritis, or not?
An extra question: Depending on your religion, is there a more simple way to pray without having to bend your knees or elbows or backs or necks over?

I have Rhumetoid Arthritis and have pain in the joints and they swell and are starting to turn. I ran out of the medication that I was on for awhile which really didn't seem to help much. I have no health insurance anymore. Please Help.

Last year I had Mono (Epstein Barr), and I noticed that my skin was turning yellowish and very, very itchy. Not to sound too graphic or anything, but my stools turned grey, and at other times completely white! I found out that I am a Celiac and have many, many antibodies against my thyroid (I have both Hashimotos and Graves). Its very likely that I have a mild Lupus and Sjogren's (when I went to the doctor, she said I have a malar rash, photosensitivity, and some wierd rashes on my joints. When I went to the dentist, they had to keep the sprayer thing in my mouth the entire time!). My maternal aunt has Scleroderma and my paternal grandfather was type I diabetic. My problem right now is that I often feel VERY itchy, get wierd rashes & scalp problems, my skin turns yellowish, and lately it feels like a weight dropped in between my ribs. Once again, (not to be gross or whatever), my stools are turning lighter (and looks like nothing is being absorbed, sometimes). Recently my vitamin D levels came back low, and I had JUST been in Florida and was taking supplements. My bun creat ration was low as well. My legs, face, and stomach periodically swell up, and I feel confused and spacy often (was partially thyroid related). A year ago, my rheumatologist checked my liver enzymes & said they were fine, but I have to go back to her again! Does this sound like autoimmune hepatits though, is it hard to diagnose?
