When treating arthritis or inflammation, how long does it take steroids to work?
I don't know anything about steroids and I was wondering if they work like aspirin, tylenol and ibuprofen. If I take them in the morning, do they take an hour to work or do they need to build up over days?
Pain meds for a parakeet with arthritis?
I have a 6.5 year old parakeet with bad arthritis in one of her feet. Is there anything (ibuprofen, acetaminophen, etc) I can mix in her water to help alleviate her pain? What dose per oz? She already has her choice of soft, flat, and heated perches. She still seems to struggle. Please help me help my baby girl.
I have arthritis in my knee and I'm aspirin sensitive, what is the best thing I can do for pain?
I injured the knee in 8th grade (I'm 31 now). It keeps fluid on it and the arthritis that has set up in it is just gradually getting worse. It has taken to trying to pop out of place lately too. When it pops it is usually pretty loud and then I have to kind of stand there for a few seconds and move it gently to get it comfortable to walk on again. I use a cold rice pack and Tylenol Arthritis. That's all I have. Is there anything else I can do for it?
I can't take Ibuprofen, Aleve, Excedrin or really anything other than Tyenol (acetaminophen) Can't even use Aspercream.
Also, I have seen a doctor for it. He said the arthritis is bad for my age but didn't prescribe either drugs or therapy.

legs. I take Ibuprofen in the morning and it takes care of the pain for most of the day. I went to the doctor and he moved my legs in a certain way to see if it was arthritis and he said it wasn't. He told me to take a massive dose of Ibuprofen every day for 10 days to see if this would get rid of it. It went away for a few weeks and it is back again.

Right now i am looking for any medicine or over the counter cocktail that I can take to relieve severe back-pain that is related to my Scoliosis? I like so many others do not have health insurance and do not want to go the illegal route. The weather here in KC makes it the pain unbearable and today I am just looking for anything. The ibuprofen that I am taking is barely doing anything? Any suggestions out there?
