She's limping a bit in her back leg and I checked it out and there was nothing in her fur, nothing felt out of place and I checked her paw and everything felt fine. I took her for a walk today and when I got home after I wiped her paws down she started limping. My mom said her leg was stiff. What does that mean? She is overweight (don't worry shes on a diet and gets walked regualarely) So yeah..do you thik its arthritis?

What is the most popular and highly reviewed supplement for Gout Arthritis?
My grandmother suffers from intense gouty arthritis and has been hospitalized numerous times in the previous years. Other than changing her diet and excercise, are there any highly renowned supplements that have had alot of positive reviews? Cherry supplements seem to be popular but I cant seem to find any that encompass a variety of natural herbs. Any advice is appreciated, thanks.

My mom was advised by her doctor to have knee replacement surgery due to her arthritis. However, since she's diabetic, he also advised that she lose 30-50 pounds prior to surgery. Her diet is fine, but she really needs to incorporate more exercise to help get the weight off. Besides water aerobics, what are some low impact exercises she can do that would put pressure and strain on her knees? Thanks.

Depression is not only a symptom of dementia, but it can cause other symptoms typical of dementia, as well. Consequently, depression is often misdiagnosed as dementia, particularly in the elderly. This misdiagnosis is tragic, because the majority of people with depression can be effectively treated. In addition to the depressed mood, loss of interest and social withdrawal we commonly think of as depression, both syndromes can produce sleep disorders, weight loss or weight gain, psychomotor retardation (an abnormal slowing down of activities and mental processes) and a diminished ability to think or concentrate. In many instances, depressed people, particularly older individuals, may appear confused and may suffer memory loss. Read more
