What's the best pain relief over the counter for Arthritis?
My husband shattered his ankle about 10 years ago and now has arthritis in it. It hurts him so much especially after walking on it for a long period of time. We've tried Aleve, Advil & Tylenol Arthritis but nothing seems to really help.
Any suggestions?

Is there any truth to the claim that aloe vera is good for arthritis when taken internally?
There's a company that sells a lot of aloe vera products. They have capsules of "cold processed" aloe vera as well as liquid aloe vera and, although the standard disclaimer is clearly stated ( "this product is not intended to diagnose or cure any disease"), there seems to be a lot of people who are taking this internally for arthritis and other joint conditions. The company has been in business for at least 10 years.
1. Anyone ever try taking aloe vera internally for a significant length of time (over 2 months?) Has it helped you?

This is going to sound like a strange story, but I hope you can appreciate my situation and offer me some help. Since I was young (too young to remember) I have had stress and overflow incontinence. My parents never believed me (I used to play sick when I was younger, I guess they just assumed I was making it up), and I never saw a doctor about it. Now that I am relatively independent, I an going to see a doctor about it later this week, but was hoping you guys could give me some help figuring this out.
I havent used a urinal in 10 years, becuase when I urinate, More tends to come out whenever I exert the slightest physical effort after going. Also, exercising can cause some to come out. Ive tried kegel exercises, but they dont really help much.
The internet doesn't seem to have an idea as to what the problem could be. does anyone out here?

How can I avoid shaking hands without having to always explain the painful arthritis in some of my fingers?
To look at the rest of me you'd never expect me to have arthritis in my fingers. Im a petit, fit woman ("buff"). I look easily 10 years younger than I am. People see my muscular arms and confidantly grasp my hand. Even a light handshake (and they rarely are), is painful for me. I dont want the first subject I discuss with everyone I meet to be the ailment in my fingers! Is there no other way to avoid this custom? I'd appreciate suggestions of what I could say before someone shakes my hand and brings tears to my eyes. And by-the-way....the worst bone crushers I ever got were both from women!

She has had this for over 10 years, her hands have been getting worse and worse as the days go by and what she has is raynauds. I need any type of information on how to help the pain her doctor doesn't no shit and im tired of seeing her hurt and since the doctor has not been giving any medicine for her hands because she has ulcers now she has Gangrene on one finger and her doctor is not taking this serious enough to see her ASAP. I wanna sue the hell out of this doctor because there is so much that should have been done for her they have not done but first i need to ease this pain from my mother.

I'm 17 years old and I have really bad stretch marks in my abs, thighs, and hips. These stretch marks were like 10 years old ever since I gained a lot of weight during my childhood. Now, I'm a healthy diet, I exercise every day and I weigh less than before but the damn stretch marks will not disappear. How can you get rid of them? Please, I need an answer, ASAP!

Can anything be done about knee arthritis for an athletic teenager?
So, my 17 year old daughter, who has been playing basketball for 10 years. She is 6'1" and about 200 lbs. She's been having problems with her knees swelling and a lot of pain. Well, I took her up to U of M to see an orthopedic surgeon who requested an MRI for her knees. The next day she called to say that my daughter has arthritis and that nothing could be done about it. Can this be true? She really wants to continue playing basketball when she goes to college, but the pain is getting worse. Does anyone have any suggestions to help out an athlete?
