What are the likely complications of Lumbar spinal surgery (decompression)?

I underwent cervical spinal surgery 1 year and nine months ago. My right hand side limbs are still weak. I am scared of undergoing similar operation in the lumbar spine. I fear urine and faecal incontinence as well as loss of functions of the lower limbs. Please advise!
I am 30 and have stress incontinence.I never had babies b4 so why do i have this problem?I'm loose down there.

My doctor thinks it's unusual for women who's never been through childbirth to have this problem. That makes me feel so alone. I was never tight down there not even when I had sex for the first time, according to my then boyfriend. (I didn't bleed). I feel droplets of urine whenever I laugh or jump. I'm looking for a pill solution instead of kegel exercises which takes forever and not really effective. I wish i could go for surgery to tighten my vaginal wall but it's not meant for women who want to have babies. Any solutions?

I am a 23 year old male college Senior, I still wet the bed on occasion. It happens once every few years, but when it happens its for 2-3 weeks straight. Does anyone know of a medical reason this might happen? Does anyone have any advice about how to deal with sleeping arrangements? (I live with my girlfriend, we only have one bed) I think its odd that it only happens every few years, but it bothers me enough when it happens that I am looking for some answers about possible causes. Please cite any sources that might be helpful.
I also have slight incontinence, my urine is normal color but I stain my underwear a brownish color ?

I hope someone has some insight into this...For the last two days only, never before, I have had some really foul smelling discharge or urine, I cannot really actually tell...I have also had minor incontinence also even just sitting here but more if I cough or sneeze...I have been sick the last two days with a horrible cold, but cannot see how the two would connect in any way...Maybe it is discharge that is leaking out and not urine, I don't know? It has a slight brown tinge to it...Also, it is kinda weird but my fiance said that the last couple days we have had sex he felt like something was scratchy and his penis got rubbed a little raw at the tip...There is no pain or itching and it is not hard to pee at all....I hope someone can help!! I really don't want to go to doctor for this!
AUTISM: My child is no longer covered for incontinence supplies?

I have a 7 year old daughter with autism. She is on SSI. For a while, we had been receiving incontinence supplies for free. With all the budget setbacks of the economy, I am having a VERY hard time finding a company that will provide such supplies for SSI/Medi-Cal. Does anyone know where I can find companies that work with the disabled? I've been searching the net and everything I find is for adults only, or you have to pay. We can't afford paying 0 every month for pull-ups and we've been working with her potty training for a loooooong time now with minimal progression. PLEASE HELP???
Do Lamotrigine (medicine for manic-depressive illness) cause incontinence?

I'm taking Lamotrigine for manic-depressive illness (bipolar II disorder). I am very reluctant to stop taking it, as it has been helpful in offsetting dreadful depressions.
However, one thing that has happened to me since taking it is that I have had trouble controlling my bladder and, even worse, my bowels.
I lose control of my bladder once every 2-3 days, although mostly can 'stop' myself half way through. Even worse, every 5-7 I lose control of my bowels, and there is nothing I can do to stop this. Its so bad I've started buying incontinence pads
I am afraid of telling my doctor in case he tells me to come off the medication, as then I will have to start from scratch on a different one, risking the chance of a relapse. And it might be nothing to do with the medication.
But then I'm 25 so its difficult to think of another reason why this is happening.
Has anyone on this medication had these problems? If they haven't then I might as well not tell my doctor.

i'm a 21 year old healthy male. but my whole life i have wet the bed (though less often-about once a year now). also, occassionally find it difficult to hold urine and seem to have a small bladder. it's not new, and it's not a daily problem but i am a 21 year old male and this should not be happening. is this technically incontinence? should i consider absorbent products for long trips? etc...
What is another prescription medication, for urinary incontinence, that would do the same thing as Detrol LA?

I take care of my mother. She was given samples of Detrol LA (for urinary Incontenence). Her doctor gave her a prescription, only to discover that her insurance will not pay for it. She has both Tenncare & Medicare (Wellcare). I called & left a message for the doctor, asking him if he could call in something similar, that Wellcare would pay for. His nurse called me back & said for me contact the insurance, find out what a good substitute was & call them back to let them know & the doctor would call it in. Odd he doesn't know. But I'm too busy to call & be placed on hold w/the insurance co, so I was hoping someone on here would know & could tell me some other prescription urinary incontinence medications, that work the same as Detrol LA. I can check online if Wellcare pays for it for a not. So just some prescription names would be very helpful. Thank you!

recently i seem to have developed urge incontinence... i've googled and think this is what it is as I've been caught short a few times recently. I have no urge to use the toilet then all of a sudden I'm bursting as though i've been holding on for hours. I've had to relieve myself in a side street the other day for fear of wetting myself and have had a few near misses at home when i've only just made it in time. I'm now scared of going out or being in situations where this could happen such as shopping with no toilets around or stuck in traffic. Anyone know how to help this condition as i'm very embarrassed about going to the doctors.
