How can I fade and reduce stretch marks?

I was very overweight as a teenager. As a result my entire upper body (chest, stomach, sides, and back) is covered in stretch marks. I have lost most of that weight but the stretch marks remain. Are there any creams or topical solutions that can help fade and minimize these stretch marks? I hope someone has some good advice. These stretch marks are embarrassing and very unattractive. Thanks.
Also, the less expensive but more effective method is what I would like to find. Thanks to everyone who has helped.

i’m overweight and have stretchmarks as well. i heard that applying pure vitamin e oil help get rid of/reduce the look of stretchmarks
You can either buy the vitamin e pills and pop them open, or what i did:
i went to target and bought a bottle of origin soothing vitamin E oil. It’s about $4 where i live (california).

Everyday after a shower, i would rub a couple droplets onto the areas. Not only will it make your skin irresistably smooth, you’ll also notice within a few days that the stretchmarks are slightly fading off.

It’ll take a while for them to completely disappear (for me, it took about 2 months to notice a huge difference), but it’s an efficient way to lighten your stretchmarks.

A natural remedy is aloe vera… try some of that and see if it will help you.

Bio-oil is actually really amazing. It does work well, and isn’t too oily for the skin. In a few weeks, it reduced the look of the stretch marks on my stomach.

I have stretch marks too! I recently went out in the sun and swam and stuff, and got a tan. And for some reason they just vanished, like the colour to them is gone so now you can barely see them! so get out there and TAN!

Many women use cocoa butter to reduce the appearance of stretch marks.. There are also post-pregnancy things for women, don’t know how they’d work for a man, but cocoa butter seems to be the best natural way. You could also try calling a local plastic surgeon or person who deals with liposuction, they have to help people with this situation the most.

There are a lot of stretch mark creams available over-the-counter which declare that it can decrease the ugly sights. However, they need to be studied further because some cannot really help with the problem.
    1. Vitamin A by-products. These products are powerful that they have proven to be effective in lessening the occurrence of stretch marks.
    2. Glucocorticoids. This is a collection of hormones incorporated in topical stretch marks creams to balance the function of vitamin E and A.
    3. Shea Butter. This can aid in supporting cell rejuvenation and blood flow. It is also useful in protecting your skin from the harmful ultra violet rays of the sun.

If I were you I`d combine a stretch mark eraser cream with the popular home remedies. One of my friends has been pregnant recently. During pregnancy she applied herself a lot of moisturizer. Then she has applied a cream called Striation because after having the baby (a cute baby called Nancy) she had some stretch marks. She told me she got rid off them in no time. I have read a lot of good reviews about this cream too. I leave you 2 urls one of them talks about stretch marks home remedies and the other is the Striation cream site
