How much are arthritis meds for pets/dogs?
My almost 10 yo choc lab needs something for arthritis. Vet suggested Rhymidal (sp) but I've read a lot on here about Deramaxx. What is the average cost of these meds per month?
Thanks!

I have used both on my dogs & found Deramaxx is better, but more expensive. I just picked up 45 Deramaxx today from my vet & it cost me $103.50. The Rimidyl I was giving my a whole pill a day.The Deramaxx is 100mg pill & I give my dog 1/2 pill a day. I think I was paying around $1.50 per pill for the Rimidyl. You can go on line & simply type in Deramaxx & hit search. You will need a perscription from your vet to get either medicine on line.

Your vet may have said the Rhymidal (sp) because she thought that would be better for him than anything else. Did you ask her about the Deramaxx? You should have her okay before you decide to put him on anything else. She has her reasons on why she chose that for him. If you want to check out the price go to http://www.1800petmeds.com I have found that my animal meds are cheeper through the vet and on line they are more expensive. So check diffrent places out. But get the vet okay first!!!!!!!!! please do that.

you can try to get them on line and the meds tend to be cheaper. I belong to a support group for dogs that have mega e. Unfortunately, we loose some dogs in the group when they cross the bridge. when this happens their humans tend to give the remaining meds away to anyone who needs them. Why don’t you ask if anyone has arthritis meds for your baby
